Welcome to my site. I am a private breeder working with various types of boas and boa morphs. Soon in the near future I plan to work with ball pythons, blood pythons and leopard geckos. In the distant future I also hope to acquire some of the more rare species of snakes in the reptile hobby, but for now I'm working with my own collection of beautiful snakes and other reptiles that I love. This is a fairly brief explanation and autobiography of who I am and where my goals are taking me.
I love all types of nature and wildlife, especially reptiles. I've been keeping reptiles, mostly turtles, for most of my life and as long as I can remember. I was born and grew up in Virginia near the D.C. area for the first fifteen years, and in 2000 my family and I moved to the beautiful state of West Virginia where I still reside. Turtles were my favorite animal growing up and still are now, as I loved going to the local lake and catching them all the time as well as other creatures. Two out of the numerous turtles that I have now are from the local lake in VA, and are now over ten years old. There were times where I wanted a snake when I was little, but I was not ready for one. I've been keeping turtles for over fifteen years, and snakes for over four years. I finally got my first snake, a ball python named Monty, in 2003. Little did I know that snakes could be so addicting, let alone beautiful creatures that deserve a lot of respect. Working with reptiles has been a wonderful, fascinating experience and I am fortunate to be part of the great reptile community with a lot of great people, endless information and knowledge.
Since moving to West Virginia, not only have I blossomed as a person, but I have gained multiple great opportunities and have expanded my hobbies tenfold. I enjoy water gardening, building koi/goldfish ponds, studying nature and wildlife, photography, traveling, hiking, fishing, deer hunting, studying microorganisms, herpetoculture, veterinary/animal sciences, wildlife biology, collecting animal skulls, building enclosures, rehabilitating sick/injured animals, and much more. I currently have two large ponds that I constructed myself; one for my turtles(1800 gallons) during the warm months, and one for my goldfish (2900 gallons) and beautiful water lilies. Someday when I have my own house somewhere in the wilderness country I plan to construct an even larger koi pond as well as a larger turtle pond.
I am currently studying Wildlife and Fisheries at West Virginia University, and am working towards a Masters in Wildlife to become a Wildlife Biologist. While I am at it, I am absorbing as much as I can about taxonomic names and other info about reptiles, working my way to be more of a herpetologist.
This is who I am and what I am doing. It's been an amazing experience for me in the reptile hobby, reptile community and world of wildlife, and I look forward to the future. I hope you have enjoyed this site, and feel free to email me with any questions or comments you may have. I will be happy to answer any husbandry/care questions you may have pertaining to boas, pythons and geckos. I may not be able to always answer every question, but I will try my best as time permits.
